On March 18, 2022, speakers in the Stratbase Albert Del Rosario Institute’s, Conference on Convergence of Health and Environment in Shaping the Strategic Policy Agenda presented their views on health and environmental security policy convergence. Directed at the next Philippine presidential administration, multidisciplinary recommendations focused on the gaps in security and development framing and the urgent need to prioritize non-traditional security threats, especially climate change. PolSci Department’s faculty Dr Alma Maria Salvador highlighted the need for policy convergence in security and foreign policy and an immediate shift from land based to maritime security.
