Course Description
The Minor in Southeast Asian Studies program is an interdisciplinary and intercultural program that aims to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the peoples, societies, cultures, politics, international relations, histories, economies, arts, literatures, and languages of Southeast Asia.
Program Learning Outcomes
▶ Develop critical and analytical understanding of issues and challenges confronting Southeast Asian (SEA) countries
▶ Interpret events in the Southeast Asian region using interdisciplinary frameworks, theories and concepts
▶ Produce comparative and interdisciplinary research of societal responses to national and regional issues
▶ Foster a sense of regional solidarity with the peoples of the SEA region
▶ Promote the principles of democracy, sustainable development, and human security in SEA
